| The three stone diamond engagement rings are second in popularity to the solitaire one. They can be described as
classic solitaire engagement ring with a pair of smaller diamonds on each side, called shoulder or side stones. Various types of shapes can be used for shoulder side stones. By order of popularity the shape of the shoulder stones is: round, tapered baguettes, strait baguettes, trillion, princess, pear and heart.
