Engagement ring - antique style |
| The designs in this section are antique style diamond rings rather than real antique pieces and to differentiate them from real antique rings, I also call them Updated antiques. The antique components in most of the updated antique rings come from one or more of the following three style periods: Victorian (1837 to 1901), Edwardian (1901 to 1918) an Art Deco (1920 to 1930). This three styles overlap with other prominent style movements from these eras.
Antique style diamond engagement rings are defined by plenty of small detail covering the shank on the sides and sometimes all the way to the back of the ring. It is practical however to leave the back of the ring plain and smooth. |
